What Is a Dynamic Checkweigher?
A dynamic checkweigher is an inline weighing system used to inspect product weight while products are moving on a conveyor. The system automatically compares the detected weight with preset limits and separates products that fall outside the acceptable range.
Unlike static weighing, the weighing process is completed continuously without stopping product flow. This allows the equipment to operate directly within automated packaging and filling lines. Dynamic checkweighers are widely used in food, cosmetics, pharmaceutical, daily chemical, and industrial packaging production.
Why Dynamic Weight Inspection Is Important in Production
In automated production lines, product weight is commonly used to monitor filling consistency, package completeness, and overall production stability. Weight deviations during production may indicate overfilling, insufficient filling, missing components, incorrect package quantity, or unstable feeding and dosing conditions.
A dynamic checkweigher performs continuous inline weighing while products are moving along the conveyor. Products outside the preset weight range are automatically detected and separated without stopping product flow. This enables real-time weight inspection within filling, packaging, cartoning, and conveying processes.
Because weighing and inspection are completed during conveyor transfer, the system can be integrated into automated production lines while reducing manual sampling and secondary weighing operations.
How the Dynamic Checkweigher Works

Products enter the weighing section through the infeed conveyor at a stable spacing. The weighing sensor captures the product weight dynamically while the conveyor is running.
The controller compares the measured value with preset tolerance ranges. Products outside the acceptable range are automatically separated through the reject system.
The entire process is completed in real time without interrupting conveyor movement.
