What Is a Small Mobile Vacuum Emulsifying Machine?
A small mobile vacuum emulsifying machine is a compact industrial mixing machine designed for manufacturers processing viscous products, such as cosmetic creams, mayonnaise, and ointments, that require emulsification. Compared with large fixed installations, this type of equipment takes up less floor space and can be repositioned within a production facility as needed. It provides a practical option for businesses whose production volume or available workspace does not call for a large emulsifying system.
Main Components of a Small Mobile Vacuum Emulsifying Machine
Stainless Steel Mixing Vessel
The stainless steel mixing vessel holds the materials during processing. Its capacity is selected according to the required batch size, and it is used for processing cosmetic creams, lotions, ointments, mayonnaise, and other emulsified products.
Frame Anchor Agitator
The frame anchor agitator is equipped with wall and bottom scrapers that remove material adhering to the vessel's internal surfaces. It helps move viscous materials throughout the mixing vessel and promotes uniform mixing.
Bottom High Shear Homogenizer
The bottom high-shear homogenizer generates strong shear forces to break down dispersed droplets and produce a uniform emulsion. Installed at the bottom of the vessel, it applies high-shear processing to the materials during emulsification.
External Circulation System
The external circulation system uses connected pipes to direct material out of the mixing vessel and return it to the vessel. This circulation moves material through the external flow path and supports the mixing and processing of the batch.
Heating and Cooling Jacket
The jacket surrounds the mixing vessel and allows hot water, cool water, or another suitable temperature-control medium to circulate around it. This allows the processing temperature to be adjusted to suit the product formulation.
Vacuum System
The vacuum system reduces pressure inside the mixing vessel to remove entrapped air from the product. This helps reduce air bubbles in the finished emulsion.
Control System
The control system operates the agitator, high-shear homogenizer, temperature control, and vacuum functions. Depending on the selected configuration, the machine can use button controls or a PLC system.
Mobile System
The machine is mounted on a mobile frame with casters, allowing it to be moved between different workshops within the factory. This is useful for manufacturers who need to use the same machine in different production areas or relocate it as production needs change.
How Does a Small Mobile Vacuum Emulsifying Machine Work?
Material Loading
Raw materials are added to the stainless steel mixing vessel according to the formulation. The loading sequence depends on the ingredients and the requirements of the product.
Heating and Mixing
When heating is required, the water in the jacket is heated to the specified process temperature to heat the materials in the mixing vessel. The frame anchor agitator mixes the ingredients, while the wall and bottom scrapers help move the material throughout the vessel.
High Shear Homogenization
The bottom high shear homogenizer applies strong shear forces to break down dispersed droplets and form a uniform emulsion. The external circulation system directs the material through the connected piping and back into the vessel, allowing it to circulate repeatedly for more uniform processing.
Cooling
After emulsification, the heating medium is replaced with cool water or another cooling medium to lower the product temperature. If the formulation requires heat-sensitive ingredients to be added during cooling, they can be introduced at the appropriate temperature and mixed until evenly distributed.
Vacuum Deaeration
The vacuum system removes entrapped air from the emulsion, helping reduce air bubbles in the finished product.
Product Discharge
Once processing is complete, the finished emulsion is discharged from the mixing vessel for transfer to a storage tank or filling machine.
Applications of a Small Mobile Vacuum Emulsifying Machine
A small mobile vacuum emulsifying machine is suitable for producing emulsified products that require mixing, high shear homogenization, and vacuum deaeration. Common applications include:
Cosmetics: Face creams, body lotions, moisturizing creams, and other skincare emulsions.
Pharmaceutical Ointments: Ointment formulations requiring uniform mixing and homogenization.
Food Products: Mayonnaise, salad dressings, and other emulsified foods.
