What This Machine Is Designed to Label

An automatic flat side bottle labeling machine is designed to apply self-adhesive labels onto flat or near-flat container surfaces within a continuous packaging process. It is used in production environments where containers can be stably positioned and label placement needs to remain consistent across batches.


The machine is suitable for containers with one or two flat side faces, such as flat-sided plastic bottles or rectangular glass bottles. Depending on configuration, it can perform single-side or double-side labeling, with label positioning controlled through synchronized conveying and dispensing.


Which Container Types Can Be Processed

This machine is suitable for containers with stable geometry and a defined flat side labeling surface:

  • Flat side plastic bottles used for lotion and personal care liquids

  • Rectangular or square glass bottles used for serum or similar products


Not all “non-round” bottles are suitable. This does not apply if there are significant shape differences between Side A and Side B.


What Label Types and Materials Are Supported

The labeling system is designed for standard roll-fed self-adhesive labels:

Label Application and Surface Contact

Once the label is dispensed, it is applied onto the container surface through a pressing mechanism that ensures full contact and adhesion on flat areas.


What Affects Labeling Speed in Real Production

The labeling speed of this automatic flat side labeling machine is 40-80 bottles per minute.

The maximum labeling speed is not fixed and varies depending on:

  • Label length – longer labels require more application time

  • Bottle spacing – irregular spacing reduces effective throughput

  • Container stability – unstable bottles require slower speeds


In practical use, speed is adjusted based on product characteristics rather than theoretical maximum values.

The machine is typically installed in the packaging stage of automated filling lines, positioned after filling and capping processes and before final coding, inspection, or cartoning.

This equipment is not suitable for all labeling scenarios. It should not be used in the following cases:

  • Round bottles requiring wrap-around labeling

  • Flexible containers that deform during conveying

  • Irregular shapes without a defined flat labeling surface

  • Containers that cannot stand stably.
